Summer Holidays 2015

Australia Pool Party

Hi everyone! First of all, happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing New Years Eve with family and friends, and bought in the New Year with happiness and excitement. It’s still SO crazy to me that it’s now 2015 … last year just went way too fast, and I feel like I’m not ready for this one! Anyway, it’s the middle of summer here in Australia, and most of us are enjoying the sunshine and warm whether during the holiday period.

I thought I would do a bit of a different post today, and show you all a day in the life of my summer holidays. I’m hoping to do a lot more travel posts this year, so I thought I would start getting some video-editing practice in. I have so many exciting adventures planned for the next few months, and really want to have a go at creating lots of mini holiday/travel vlogs. I hope you all enjoy this little ‘vlog’ today, and make sure you let me know what you have been up to these holidays! x

Take Me Back to South West Rocks …

Hat Head

I’m writing this post as I’m sitting inside at Uni, waiting for my class to start. As I look out the window I can see clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine, and am feeling a little bit depressed that I am stuck inside four walls and not embracing the beautiful spring weather!

So, instead I will just reminisce on one of my favourite summer destinations of all time, a place that feels like my home away from home. South West Rocks is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, and is home to some of the most beautiful coast lines and hidden treasures. My family has visited this little beachy town for so many years, it feels like I know the place like the back of my hand! Horseshoe bay is the beach for absolutely everyone. If you’re not a fan of baking in the sun, there is plenty of trees that will keep you shaded all day. And, if you aren’t into getting sand attached to absolutely everything, then you can sunbake on the beautiful grass just past the sand.

There are so many little creeks, waterways and secluded areas that you can find around South West rocks, that make for the most amazing summer getaway. Make sure you add Hat Head (the water is literally CRYSTAL clear) and Smoky Cape Lighthouse to your list of areas to visit for the day!

I hope you guys enjoy these few photos I have captured of my beloved second home, and start day dreaming of Summer just like I am now ….
