First Stop – London & Paris!

Paris Eiffel TowerBonjour!

I’m currently in Paris with some decent WiFi, so I thought I would start my first of many blog posts about my European adventure! I landed in London a few days, and got to do a little bit of sightseeing before my Topdeck adventure began. I spent a week in London last year, so was already familiar with the sights – nonetheless it was still incredible and it’s great to see things a second time round. Let me know if you guys have been to London and what you think, I’m still undecided as to whether I love it (probably because the culture isn’t too different to Australia, and I love places that are new and exciting/different).

I was soooo excited to be able to spend 2 nights in Paris for the first leg of my Topdeck tour. The city of lights and love … It is an absolute gem. I also visited Paris last year and fell in love, and it’s safe to say that I love it even more now. My absolute favourite thing about this city is the buildings and architecture throughout the streets. It’s so rare to see a major capital city that isn’t filled with huge sky scrapers and modern buildings – the streets of Paris are lined with incredible buildings that look so delicate and pretty, with no buildings towering over about 7 floors high. I also got to ride through these beautiful streets on a bike tour which was such a great experience, I would definitely recommend doing this as everything in Paris is in riding distance. I was so blessed with beautiful sunshine and warmth as well, which is a great break from the Australian Winter right now!

I feel like pictures really do tell a thousand words, so I’ll leave you all with a bunch of snaps I took from my adventures in London and Paris x

January Beauty Haul

Today I’m doing a little haul on some of the beauty products I received for Christmas, and also just picked up myself. I love trying out new products, and am always on the search for my holy grail makeup and beauty items! There are still SO many products I want to try, and get my hands on, but for now I hope you all enjoy this little haul. Let me know if you have tried any of these products, and make sure to give me some recommendations for my next purchase!

The Body Shop

  1. The Body Shop

I don’t usually shop at ‘The Body Shop’, simply because I’m not really into bath and body products that much. Plus I’ve always thought they were a bit overpriced. However, I received these gifts for Christmas and absolutely love them! I’ve always thought the Body Shop makes great gifts, and love the fact that most of their products include fair trade ingredients. I received the Coconut Body Milk Lotion, which is a really light spray-on moisturiser. It smells absolutely delicious, and exactly like summer! I also received this Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion … And this is so incredible. I REALLY love this product. If you have blemish prone skin like myself, then you need this in your life. The lotion sinks into the skin to help improve the appearance of blemish damaged skin, and leaves your face feeling so soft and smooth.

Essence Mascara

  1. Essence Mascara

I bought this mascara after a recommendation by beauty YouTuber Dani Mansutti, claiming it was the best mascara she had ever used. Let me just start by saying this mascara is SOOO cheap! I bought mine from Priceline for under $5.00, such a bargain. The best thing is that it actually is an amazing mascara; it makes my lashes really full and thick, without being clumpy. I can’t stand clumpy mascara’s, so this one is perfect for me. There are a few others in the range as well, so I would definitely recommend trying these out.

Boe Beauty

  1. Boe Beauty

Another absolute bargain! Boe Beauty is sold in Big W stores here in Australia, and has recently reinvented itself. It used to be a really low-end beauty brand, but in the past few months it has come out with some ‘higher’ end products as part of their new line, though everything is still really affordable. This primer is really great, and does the job perfectly (and it’s only about $10!). I also really love this bronzer, it has just the slightest amount of shimmer and isn’t crazy pigmented so it’s really easy to work with and build up.

Lorac Pro Palette

  1. Lorac Pro Palette

If you know anything about makeup, you would know how much this palette by Lorac has been raved about. I put this on my Christmas wish list, and was lucky enough to receive it off my parents. It really is an amazing palette, and I think the best thing about it is the variety in shimmer and mattes, and that all of the colours are really wearable for day or night. Even though the eye shadows are all great, I still think it is overpriced for what it is. I could probably find a cheaper palette (such as the Chi Chi ones), which would all do a similar job. In saying that, I am still very much in love with my Lorac palette!

Summer Holidays 2015

Australia Pool Party

Hi everyone! First of all, happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing New Years Eve with family and friends, and bought in the New Year with happiness and excitement. It’s still SO crazy to me that it’s now 2015 … last year just went way too fast, and I feel like I’m not ready for this one! Anyway, it’s the middle of summer here in Australia, and most of us are enjoying the sunshine and warm whether during the holiday period.

I thought I would do a bit of a different post today, and show you all a day in the life of my summer holidays. I’m hoping to do a lot more travel posts this year, so I thought I would start getting some video-editing practice in. I have so many exciting adventures planned for the next few months, and really want to have a go at creating lots of mini holiday/travel vlogs. I hope you all enjoy this little ‘vlog’ today, and make sure you let me know what you have been up to these holidays! x

Boxing Day Races 2014

IMG_1204j

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all of you had an amazing Christmas with your family and friends, and that everyone got spoilt with gifts and love (I know I did!). The fun didn’t stop for me on Christmas day, as Boxing Day was filled with friends, sunshine and summer races! The Newcastle Boxing Day races are always a huge event and a great reason to pull out your favourite dress.

This year I wore this beautiful little white lace dress from Sabo Skirt. I’ve talked about this Australian brand before … I think they have the prettiest clothes for all year round, and are really feminine and perfect for formal occasions. I wore a silver-diamond headpiece as well, just too really pull the look together and add something a little extra. I think white and lace together is the perfect match, especially for spring and summer!

I hope everyone has an incredible New Years Eve next week, and an amazing start to 2015. Also, thankyou so much to everyone who has supported and followed my blog this year, I never thought it would kick off as much as it did and that I would love it so much. I appreciate every single comment I receive, and really enjoy connecting with all of you! I can’t wait to continue blogging next year, and to show you all some of the amazing adventures I have planned! x

You can buy the ‘Miracle Shift Dress’ here … P.S It’s on sale right now YAY!
